Florida 4-H District 1 Scavenger Hunt Objectives

Welcome friends. Get ready for adventure as you join us in a video scavenger hunt. Take a digital picture or a short video clip of each objective and e-mail to

1. Picture of your team in front of your state sign (i.e. welcome center etc…)
2. Wash 3 windshields at a gas station
3. Sing “Oscar Meyer Wiener” song in front of a store meat department
4. Take a picture next to a police car with its lights on
5. Hold a conversation with a mannequin
6. Ask a gas station employee for directions to a store directly beside or across the street from the gas station
7. Act like you’re walking a dog
8. Donate food/clothes/toys/money to an organization
9. Impersonate a salesman at any store and try to sell someone something
10. Teach someone the 4-H Pledge
11. Have your entire team go to a well populated area and completely freeze still as people walk by --Have some-one stand back and do a quick video clip or picture
12. Play leap frog in Wal-mart
13. Each team member complete the survey at:

14. Team member working on project or community service
Bonus Points just for Blog visitors !!
15. Get a GPS location for one of the stops in your video scavenger hunt, or simply walk outside and take a reading. If you don't have a GPS, you may look up your address on Google Earth. We will map our participants all over the southeast.
16. Take a picture of at least two of your team members selecting and eating a healthy snack.

Remember that you are representing 4-H wherever you go. Be respectful and courteous. After all, you may be the spark that lights someone up about 4-H.

It Only Takes a Spark to Light a Fire

Our district has been working together for years when it comes to activities and adventures. In an effort to share the joy of working together with other 4-H clubs and counties, District 1 started, "It Only Takes a Spark". This was the official launch to share throughout Florida and the Southeast what we sometimes take for granted around here.

District 1 Council applied for and received a grant with the same title to fund the work we had ahead. With the help of the Florida 4-H Foundation grant, we have been able to share things like District 1 Lock Ins, CERT Drills, GPS/GIS Days, Financial Management activities and of course the famous Video Scavenger Hunt.
